and Interview with
a Make-up Artist :)
This time it is Zanda Niedra
Name, Surname: Zanda Niedra
Profession: Tourism business manager, Make up artist
Working place: Everywhere where i am needed.
How did you choose your profession?
Tourism i chose because i didn't knew exactly what i want, thats why i chose what i liked. But to become a make up artist i chose because i am interested in make up since i can remember myself. And finally there was a time to do it more seriously. It is very important for me to do a job that i like and that makes me happy. That was the determinant thing when i was choosing my profession - i feel pleased every time when i make someone more beautiful and happier with my work.
Is there any other profession you would like to learn if you wouldn't be make up artists?
Yes, I am interested in so many things that i can't even find time to do all of them. :D You can't call them all as a professions but there are so many things i would like to learn - like to take beautiful photos, play guitar, as well i am interested in learning languages and i think about studying as a hairstylist. And there was a thought i could be a film director. As i mentioned - how can i find time to do it all?
What do you like in your job?
I very like that i can show that every woman is beautiful and i can make them happy.
What or who inspires you?
If something is going really well. As well beautiful trips or simple if something positive is happening. And nice, positive people.
What make up brands do you use?
I have found good products from different brand . Mostly Make Up For Ever, Kryolan, Urban Decay ( Lately Urban Decay is my favorite), Mica Bella, Bellapierre, NYX.
What is in your make up bag?
-Always- foundation, consealer, loose powder and sculpting kit, blush, mascara and lip gloss. The rest depends on the occasion.
Product/s you can't live without.
Mascara and Make Up For Ever Face & Body
Product/s with negative experience.
I was thinking a long time and i guess there isn't any .
Dream in your professional career? ( where of with who would you like to work)?
Lately there is a feeling that doesn't leave me that in Latvia you can't " Dream" too far. But it doesn't matter where or with who i work i want that all my clients always are satisfied with my work.
What has been the biggest challenge in your career?
Each new client is a new challenge.
Has anything funny happened in your work?
Little bit " Funny" is to do make up on men. They almost always feels so awkward and you can see that. Once i put a make up on one guy and he was crying each time my brush touched his face.
What is the most asked thing from your clients?
To accent the eyes.
Do you have any professional tip you would like to share?
Don't go to extremes - for the women that doesn't use make up at all and the ones who can't live a day without a decent stage make up. I like saying " Less is more" - the task for the make up is to make us look more beautiful not opposite.
Do you have any other hobbies?
All my free time i dedicate to my family .
